Job Title

Travel - Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage respiratory treatments including nebulizers, BIPAP/CPAP, and mechanical ventilators
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis using blood gas machines
• Manage a normal floor assignment of approximately 20–25 treatments per round
• Provide respiratory care support in ICU and general floor settings
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and on-call shifts approximately one 24-hour shift every 5–6 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current Virginia State Respiratory Therapy License
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• ICU experience required — candidates without ICU experience will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Proficiency with a full range of respiratory equipment including oxygen delivery systems, ventilators, and blood gas machines
