Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We are a healthcare staffing agency seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to support a college counseling center at a CUNY campus in Staten Island, New York. This is a flexible, very low-hours opportunity designed for a PMHNP seeking a supplemental or moonlighting role alongside an existing practice. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric medication evaluations and ongoing medication management for college students who are already engaged in counseling services. All intake, scheduling, and care coordination are handled by the counseling center's clinical support team, allowing the NP to focus primarily on clinical care.

Schedule and Work Structure: Approximately 2–3 days per month total. Flexible scheduling arranged in advance based on student demand and provider availability. The role is primarily remote with telehealth visits. Occasional on-campus visits in Staten Island may occur if clinically appropriate, but there is no required percentage of on-site time.

Hourly pay rate: $95-$105

Because of the limited hours, this role is best suited for candidates seeking a small supplemental opportunity rather than full-time employment.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Active New York State Issued RN License/Nurse Practitioner License
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification
• DEA registration
• Minimum three years of experience working specifically as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
• Conduct psychiatric medication evaluations
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Provide follow-up medication management
• Document services in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
