Country Lane Manor, a skilled nursing facility in Keosauqua, IA, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Cook to join our Dietary Department. In this essential role, you will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals while ensuring food safety and compliance with dietary standards. Your work will play an important part in enhancing the health and well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary requirements
• Follow standardized recipes and proper portion control guidelines
• Prepare food for regular, therapeutic, and special diets as directed
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with food preparation, storage, and inventory as needed
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Support the dietary team in providing exceptional meal service to residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred
• Culinary training or certification is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
