CPA Accountant | $80,000-$115,000|Hybrid /  Direct Hire 

What Matters Most

• Competitive Pay of $80,000-$115,000 salary based on experience
• Schedule: 50 hours per week during tax season – off-season is hybrid and Fridays off
• Two Locations: Carroll, Iowa or Audubon, Iowa
• One day of travel required per week

Job Description

The CPA Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. This role also involves providing strategic tax planning advice, managing audits, and staying updated on tax regulations to optimize the company's tax position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a staff accountant and oversee and review tax returns 
• Complete and process individual and corporate tax returns  
• Provide excellent customer service to tax and accounting clients  

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
• EA or CPA required 
• Min 4 years of tax and/or audit experience in a public accounting firm 
• Ability to travel one day a week to small towns in Iowa during busy season
• Agricultural background is a plus
