All Apex positions are eligible for annual bonus opportunities, reinforcing our commitment to recognizing and rewarding meaningful contributions that drive our collective growth.As we continue to expand, we're looking for an Environmental Engineer with hands-on remediation and estimating & project delivery experience for remediation and construction sites who is ready to take ownership of complex soil and groundwater projects and grow alongside a national firm, supporting work based out of our southern California office.What You'll Do:In this role, you'll be directly involved in the design, operation, and optimization of soil and groundwater remediation systems, including:Support and lead soil and groundwater remediation projects from field execution through reporting, working under the oversight of a senior Professional Engineer and in concert with our engineering and field technician teamOversee operation and maintenance (O&M) of remediation systems such as:Groundwater extraction and treatmentSoil vapor extractionThermal oxidizers and related treatment technologiesSupport and assist with remedial system design, modifications, and performance evaluations and optimizationOversee field work to ensure compliance with work plans, permits, and project specificationsOversee compliance with applicable regulations (AQMD, SWPPP, WDR, hazardous materials/waste, etc.)Provide oversight and direction to field technicians supporting O&M activities; work in the field to troubleshoot and maximize remediation system uptime.Analyze and interpret O&M and performance data to optimize system effectivenessPrepare technical reports, regulatory submittals, and proposalsRequired QualificationsB.S. in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field4+ years of experience supporting or leading soil and groundwater remediation projectsEstimating and project delivery experienceExperience with soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and air samplingStrong background in field data collection and technical report writingHAZWOPER certificationProficiency with AutoCADHigh proficiency with MS OfficeExcellent technical communication skills and strong attention to detailField adeptness with a solid understanding of safe work practicesPreferred QualificationsExperience with stormwater compliance and permittingEngineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) licenseStormwater certificationsWhy You'll Love Working for UsCompany-subsidized medical and dental insurance.Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance.401(k) match and tuition assistance.Cross-training and opportunities to work on a variety of environmental projects.Performance-based bonuses and other incentives.Opportunities for continued technical and professional development.The opportunity to work alongside some of the best and brightest professionals in the environmental industry.Join a 2,000+ employee national firm with 70+ locations across the United States.
