1st Shift: Monday through Friday 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
OR
2nd Shift: Monday through Friday 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM

Description:

Join our team as a Material Handler, a full-time production role equivalent to a Rigger classification. In this role, you'll begin with a compulsory Training Period, setting you up for success in our fast-paced environment. After completing training, you'll be assigned to a production shift and may be required to work overtime.

Essential Functions/Tasks:

As a Material Handler, you'll be essential to our production process. Your tasks will vary depending on your shift, production requirements, and supervisor instructions, including:

• Operate Overhead Crane Systems: Handle steel beams, plates, and assemblies safely and efficiently.
• Manage Steel and Equipment: Move and position small pieces of steel and shop equipment weighing between 10 to 50 pounds.
• Assist with Steel Preparation: Help with cleaning and painting steel, handling paint and solvents.
• Drive Forklifts and Tractors: Use forklifts and tractors to move materials around the shop floor.
• Load and Unload: Efficiently load and unload trucks and rail cars using the appropriate equipment and systems.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Perform yard and building cleaning tasks, contributing to the overall maintenance of our facilities and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

You'll need adequate strength, mobility, dexterity, vision, hearing, and stamina to perform these tasks with minimal assistance.

Other Qualifications:

• Education: A high school education is preferred.
• Independence: Ability to follow instructions well and work without constant supervision.
• Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a positive work environment.
