Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced NICU registered nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. The role involves providing specialized care to critically ill neonatal patients in a busy level 4 NICU.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients following established protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously, including ventilators, feeding pumps, and IV therapy.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in electronic medical records.
• Assist with procedures such as administering medications, feeding, and ventilator management.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented environment by demonstrating excellent communication skills and flexibility.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• At least 2 years of NICU nursing experience, with a preference for 2+ years in level 4 NICU settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in neonatal critical care and use of EMR systems like Meditech and CPN.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with strong teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts, including on-call weekends.
• Must meet all facility-specific clinical competencies and health requirements.
