Inspection Supervisor

Winsert is seeking qualified candidates for an Inspection S upervisor . This role will lead daily Inspection operations to ensure product is processed and released on time while meeting customer, quality, safety, and cost expectations. The Inspection Supervisor is responsible for department staffing, workflow, inventory, labor utilization, and performance. They coordinate Inspection resources and work cross-functionally to support on-time delivery and continuous improvement. Plan staffing, schedules, and daily work assignments to meet production requirements while effectively managing labor utilization and overtime. Monitor daily workflow and performance, taking timely corrective action when results deviate from plan. Provide leadership, coaching, development, and accountability to achieve company and department goals. Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and cost, improve productivity, and strengthen department performance. Ensure consistent compliance with Winsert policies, procedures, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Support changing production priorities, ECN activity, special shipping requirements, and other department needs as required. SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training Inspection employees. Oversee department inventory and non-inventory purchasing needs. Conduct regular shift and department communication meetings. Ensure required audits are completed and corrective actions are followed through. Maintain department work instructions, procedures, and training documentation. Initiate maintenance work orders as needed. Provide backup support for shipping documentation when required. Maintain 5S standards and proper WIP and inventory segregation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Strong leadership, coaching, and employee-development skills. Effective time management, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization. Ability to solve problems, make timely decisions, and manage multiple priorities in a changing production environment. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and hold employees accountable to established expectations. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to actively move through production area to work with staff. Vision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screen. Hearing must be correctable to allow extensive use of telephone and voicemail as well as participate in discussions among large groups. Mobility and coordination must allow for required tasks to be performed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum high school diploma. Prior leadership experience is preferred. Formal leadership training may be provided. Prior training and/or experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred. 5 years’ experience in manufacturing is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Winsert
