Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mason to join a small team specializing in residential and commercial building projects as well as restoration and repair work. Some commercial jobs are NYS prevailing wage. This hands-on role involves bricklaying, stone setting, and concrete finishing using both hand and power tools along with heavy machinery. The Mason will work primarily at local sites, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship in a close-knit team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform brick/blocklaying on residential and commercial projects
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide work
- Handle and manage construction materials efficiently
- Pour and finish concrete surfaces
- Repoint brick and stone structures to maintain integrity
- Operate a combination of hand and power tools plus heavy machinery
- Collaborate within a small team of 1-5 members
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in masonry
- Ability to consistently lift up to 80lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 certification
- Expertise in masonry techniques and blueprint interpretation
$25 - $30 per hour
