Job Summary

As an Environmental Services Technician, you will use germicidal detergents and cleaning supplies to sanitize patient care areas, equipment, and common spaces. Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, washing walls and windows, cleaning furniture and fixtures, handling soiled linens, and managing waste removal. You will work under close supervision, performing routine tasks efficiently while being mindful of patient safety and comfort.

Work Environment

This position may require rotation among various district facilities, including clinics, hospital, and administrative offices. Per diem shifts vary, offering flexibility for those seeking part-time work.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in housekeeping is preferred; hospital-based experience is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to learn and follow established policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Competence in operating common cleaning tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and safety.

Physical Requirements

The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting and carrying items up to 35 pounds, and occasional pushing or pulling of equipment. Normal vision, hearing, and speech are necessary, with or without corrective devices.
