Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Title: Senior Embedded Software Technical Lead Overview We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Technical Lead to provide hands‑on technical leadership for the development of embedded software and firmware powering connected devices. This role combines technical leadership with active engineering involvement, requiring someone who can guide development efforts while contributing directly to architecture, debugging, troubleshooting, and implementation. The ideal candidate has a strong track record leading embedded development teams and can quickly become a key contributor in a fast‑paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for embedded software and firmware development initiatives. Collaborate closely with distributed engineering teams, including firmware and software developers across multiple locations. Drive technical execution, architecture decisions, and development best practices. Perform hands‑on debugging, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis of device‑level issues. Support integration efforts across embedded devices, middleware, networking components, and broader platform ecosystems. Partner with engineering teams to accelerate development timelines and resolve complex technical challenges. Serve as a technical bridge between device software development and platform integration efforts. Required Qualifications Proven experience leading embedded software or firmware development projects. Strong expertise in embedded systems development. Advanced C/C++ programming skills. Experience working in Linux‑based embedded environments. Hands‑on device‑level debugging and troubleshooting experience. Background in IoT and connected‑device technologies. Experience working with cellular modem technologies. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and IP‑based communications. Experience integrating software within larger platform ecosystems. Preferred Domain Experience Understanding of ATSC 3.0 and related receiver technologies. Familiarity with middleware architectures and integration. Knowledge of video delivery, broadcast, or telecommunications technologies. Networking Knowledge Candidates should possess: Strong understanding of IP networking protocols. Knowledge of multicast networking concepts and architectures. Experience working with multicast communications in networked environments is preferred.
