Electrical EngineerWe are seeking a high-level Electrical Engineer to join our team in Lenexa, KS. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term potential. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in electrical design, power systems, and engineering standards, along with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.This role requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and the ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical design calculations to ensure systems meet global safety standardsDesign, control, and implement electrical systems and productsDevelop cost estimates for budgeting and project planningConduct coordination and arc flash studies (IR Level 1 & 2 preferred)Create and review electrical drawings and models using AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SKM, and TrimbleEnsure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and other applicable industry standardsDefine customer requirements and ensure systems meet safety and performance standardsCollaborate with project managers, estimators, technicians, programmers, and senior leadershipSupport manufacturing process development aligned with engineering codes and standardsPerform quality assurance, system testing, and performance analysisAnalyze data trends to support product improvements and innovationAssist with equipment evaluation, cost calculations, and budget preparationMonitor maintenance and inspection plans to ensure long-term reliabilityMaintain high standards of professionalism, quality, and customer serviceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required)Experience ranging from entry-level to 7–10 years in electrical designExperience in power systems, EV infrastructure, wind, or solar projectsStrong working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and related electrical codesProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SKM, and TrimbleStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work onsite 5 days per weekPreferred ExperienceArc flash and coordination study experienceKnowledge of electrical manufacturing processesExperience working directly with cross-functional engineering and construction teamsAdditional RequirementsMust pass background check, drug screening, and MVR reviewAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
