Perinatal Sonographer

Overview A perinatal sonographer opportunity is available in Reno, NV with a women's health program seeking an experienced OB ultrasound professional to join a physician-led diagnostic team. Responsibilities Reporting to and working under the direct supervision of the attending physician, the Perinatal Sonographer performs the full range of obstetrical and gynecological sonographic examinations, acquiring and analyzing ultrasound data while generating preliminary reports through the PACS system. The sonographer participates directly in obstetrical procedures alongside the physician for ultrasound guidance and serves as a communication liaison between the physician and patient, providing summary findings that inform diagnosis and management. Day‑to‑day responsibilities also include oversight of the sonographic laboratory's daily operations, equipment performance monitoring, and clinical quality assessment, as well as room preparation, equipment sterilization, and coordination with the broader care team to ensure appropriate patient care. Qualifications Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology required at time of hire RVT registry preferred AHA BLS certification Nasal Bone certification from an accredited source Nuchal Translucency certification from an accredited source Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification not required, but a plus Minimum two years prior OB experience or Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic experience Schedule Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM; no weekends or on‑call; occasional overtime on scheduled shifts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
