Key Responsibilities

In this key role, you will perform a variety of important tasks including:

• Assisting the licensed Physical Therapist in executing established treatment plans for patients, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Conducting evaluations and regularly documenting patient responses to treatment, including progress notes that inform the treatment approach.
• Monitoring patient conditions and reporting significant changes—including pain levels, mobility status, and overall compliance—to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with hospital protocols and relevant regulations.
• Ensuring that treatment areas and equipment are clean, organized, and ready for use before and after patient sessions.
• Participating in team meetings and contributing insights on patient care strategies and program improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our services primarily cater to adult orthopedic cases and chronic pain patients. You will engage with individuals recovering from surgery, managing physical limitations due to injuries, or dealing with long-term pain conditions. This role emphasizes the importance of personalized care, ensuring that each patient receives tailored interventions that address their unique needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• A current and unrestricted New Jersey Physical Therapy Assistant license or the ability to apply for licensure.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with patients and team members alike.

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation environment, particularly within outpatient or hospital facilities. Experience working with diverse patient populations and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
