Aircraft Structures Mechanic

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Structures Mechanic in Luka, MS. This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail, top focus on quality and excellent people skills. This position may be filled at varying shift times including weekdays, nights, and weekends (shift differential paid during eligible shifts). Responsibilities include reading and understanding blueprints, translating blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies, aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures, performing part-fitting operations, measuring parts with precision tools, modifying incomplete and complete assemblies, daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems, use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor, and recommending and implementing continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, minimum of 4 years of structures/composites experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment, ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work, ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance, ability to pass a New Hire Physical prior to starting, ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access, ability to utilize a computer for basic functions, and ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications include current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearance, experience in aerospace manufacturing, demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools, and ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, blueprints, etc.
