Job Title: Lecturer – Psychological Science Location: UNG – Multi Campus Employment Type: Regular, Full-Time Job ID: 299324 Job Summary The Department of Psychological Science at the University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a full-time Lecturer position (with benefits) for Spring 2027. Successful applicants will teach courses in PSYC 1002 (Introduction to Leadership), PSYC 4000 (Psychology of Leadership), Industrial Organizational Psychology, Group Dynamics, and upper‑division courses in their area of expertise. This face‑to‑face position requires teaching on the Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses. The role includes administrative duties and collaboration with stakeholders to grow the Interdisciplinary Leadership Minor. The successful candidate will support the Leadership Minor through teaching, advising, curriculum development, student engagement, and coordination with campus partners. This is not a clinical or counseling position and does not require clinical licensure. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. The university is aware of recent federal changes that may increase costs of filing H‑1B visa petitions; while it remains committed to supporting international faculty hires, it cannot guarantee payment of newly imposed or increased visa‑related fees. Responsibilities Teach a 4‑semester load of face‑to‑face undergraduate courses, including PSYC 1002, PSYC 4000, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Group Dynamics, and upper‑division courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Conduct office hours and attend department meetings. Advise students pursuing the Leadership Minor; promote the minor at campus events; collaborate with professional advisors on Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses to raise awareness and enrollment. Support curriculum development and student engagement for the Interdisciplinary Leadership Minor. Engage in administrative duties related to the department and minor. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Psychology, Industrial‑Organizational Psychology, or a related field with at least 18 graduate‑level psychology hours at the time of appointment; a Ph.D. with relevant teaching experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in leadership roles and mentoring leaders. History of teaching leadership and related coursework, with emphasis on teaching and administrative experience.
