Job Description Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides high-quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician. The LPN is responsible for assisting in patient care, administering medications, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides high-quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician. The LPN is responsible for assisting in patient care, administering medications, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care according to established care plans and facility policies
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes to the supervising RN or physician
- Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.)
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
- Support physicians and RNs during examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ensure infection control and safety standards are maintained
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
