Medical Director

Job title: Medical Director (Psychiatry and Neurology) Location: Chester IL. Shift: Standard day shift (M-F) 40 hours a week Specialty: Psychiatry and Neurology Requirements / Qualifications Requires a valid State of Illinois Medical License, DEA, IL. controlled substance license Requires American Board Certification in the job-related medical specialty of psychiatry. Requires three (3) years of medical administrative experience directing, planning, and evaluating a medical/clinical program. Experience working with psychiatric/mental health patients. Duties include Serves as facility expert on mental health laws, regulations, and trends. Represents medical services and programs. Serves as manager of medical program operations. Serves as Medical Director and as foil-line supervisor which includes union, non-union, and contractual staff Assign and reviews work. Provides guidance and training to assigned staff. Reassigns staff to meet day-to-day operating needs. Establishes annual goals and objectives. Effectively recommends and imposes discipline, up to and Including discharge.
