Medina Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our telehealth team. This full-time position offers the flexibility to work remotely while providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to individuals grappling with trauma-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s history and treatment needs. \n
- Develop, implement, and modify evidence-based individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience. \n
- Utilize specific therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing. \n
- Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process trauma and build coping strategies. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive, integrated treatment plan for every patient. \n
- Provide timely crisis intervention and support in instances of trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being. \n
- Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, equipping them with valuable resources. \n
- Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines. \n
- Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education to uphold our commitment to trauma-informed care. \n
- Engage in research and professional literature to remain informed about the latest advancements in trauma therapy. \n
This role specifically serves individuals who are recovering from trauma. Our clientele includes adults, adolescents, and their families, who often present with complex trauma histories and symptoms related to PTSD and dissociative disorders. As a therapist, you will play a crucial role not only in their emotional recovery but also in fostering resilience and hope for a healthier future.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York. \n
- A strong foundation in trauma-informed practices and knowledge of trauma disorders. \n
- \n
- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working directly with trauma-affected populations. \n
- Expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies and evidence-based interventions. \n
- Strong interpersonal skills, along with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor. \n
- Comfort in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications. \n
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a focused and supportive environment. \n
