About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) MS/Telemetry – South Carolina

Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Upstate South Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; 3x12 or 4x12 schedule; every other weekend with flexibility based on unit needs

• Specialized Long Term Acute Care facility focused on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients
• Patient ratio of 5:1 allowing for comprehensive patient care
• Epic electronic medical records system with Omnicell medication management
• Orientation provided with 24 hours of onboarding support
• Interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Social Services
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations in a 15-bed unit

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina RN license
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in LTAC Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, or Progressive Care Unit settings
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions available)
• Must be willing to float to other units based on census and clinical needs
• First-time travelers considered based on relevant clinical experience

Key Clinical Competencies:

• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with complex wound care, central line management, and PICC line care
• Knowledge of blood product administration and IV therapy management
• Competency in managing patients with CHF, COPD, pneumonia, stroke, and diabetic ketoacidosis
• Skilled in chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and ventilator weaning protocols
• Ability to perform 12-lead EKG, stroke scale assessments, and blood glucose monitoring
