Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred; technical or vocational training in metal fabrication, welding, or manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Basic math skills, including measurements, geometry, and trigonometry, to perform accurate layouts and calculations.

Job Duties:

• Fabricate and assemble structural steel and sheet metal components for machinery, buildings, bridges, tanks, ovens, and other industrial applications.
• Interpret blueprints, job orders, and verbal instructions to plan fabrication layouts and determine production sequences.
• Measure, mark, cut, bend, weld, and assemble metal materials while ensuring precise dimensions and quality standards.
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including welders, press brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, drill presses, CNC machines, punch presses, and lathes.
• Build templates and fixtures, inspect finished parts using measuring tools, and verify all work meets specifications and safety requirements.

Experience Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Metal Fabricator, Structural Metal Fabricator, Sheet Metal Fabricator, or in a manufacturing or fabrication shop preferred.
• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as welding machines, press brakes, shears, drill presses, rolls, flame cutters, CNC machines, punch presses, or lathes.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, welding shrinkage, material properties, and quality standards.

Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift materials throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, with heavier lifting performed using appropriate equipment or team assistance.
• Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail required to safely operate fabrication machinery and precision measuring tools.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding equipment.
