Safety & Sanitation Technician

Shift: 1st - Monday to Friday | 6am-2:30pm (OT when needed)

Join a local tile manufacturer in Crossville, TN as a Safety & Sanitation Technician ! In this role, you'll help keep our facility clean, safe, and running smoothly by controlling dust, maintaining cleaning equipment, and supporting our safety team's efforts across the plant.

Responsibilities:
-Perform routine cleaning tasks to control and reduce dust levels in work areas, machinery, and common spaces
-Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, sweepers, and dust control systems
-Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures for consistent sanitation practices
-Collaborate with the safety team to align cleaning efforts with workplace safety goals
-Respond to immediate cleaning needs, such as spills or urgent dust mitigation requests
-Document cleaning activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel
-Participate in safety meetings and training sessions
-Support audits and inspections by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met

Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in safety, sanitation, or cleaning practices a plus
-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment
-Experience in a cleaning or sanitation role preferred but not required
-Knowledge of OSHA safety standards desirable but not essential
-Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
-Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
