As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Credential Issuance in Garland, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Sun: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, documenting visitor and contractor activity, and following site-specific access procedures. Monitor vehicle, pedestrian, and package movement at designated access points, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
