Java Developer III

The Java Developer III will support backend development initiatives focused on Spring Boot microservices within a baggage platform development environment. This role requires a hands‑on developer with strong expertise in Java, cloud‑native application development, event‑driven architecture, and AWS technologies The ideal candidate will be a self-driven professional capable of collaborating with architecture, product, and functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions in an Agile development environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise software applications and backend systems Build and support cloud-native applications using Spring Boot microservices, AWS technologies, and the Solace eventing platform Collaborate with architecture, product management, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions Participate in architecture and design discussions while ensuring adherence to coding standards and development best practices Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications Work within Agile development environments with a focus on continuous integration and continuous delivery Analyze, refactor, and optimize existing code for scalability, maintainability, and performance improvements Estimate development efforts and contribute to release planning and delivery schedules Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and production support activities Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation and optimization efforts Ensure application security and support vulnerability management initiatives Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer Minimum 2 years of experience developing and maintaining event‑driven applications Strong hands‑on experience with: Java Spring Boot Experience working with the Solace eventing platform Proficiency with AWS technologies Strong understanding of: Software engineering principles Hands‑on experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as: Jenkins GitHub Actions Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile teams Strong communication and coordination skills Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in the airline industry Experience with Veracode and WIZ Familiarity with vulnerability management and secure coding practices Experience using tools such as SonarQube Self‑starter mindset with the ability to proactively identify and resolve technical issues #J-18808-Ljbffr Compunnel
