Green Lantern Pizza is seeking hosts/hostess candidates who are motivated, team-oriented, friendly, dependable, and have the drive to provide excellent service in a high-paced Pizza restaurant!

Summary of Position

A Host's primary job responsibility is to welcome, greet and tend to all guests that enter into our establishment. It is a Host's job to greet the guest, seat the guest, assure guests they will be taken care of in a timely fashion, handling reservations. Hosts must support the whole staff during busy hours. Hosts must keep waiting guests happy. Hosts are responsible for keeping the entrance to our establishment clean always. Within hosts there is a greeter who greets all guests, the seater takes guests to their tables and gets them set up for their server, the floater is support for the hosts to keep up on tables times, flipping tables.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.

• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the Green Lantern.

• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and the number of people in the party.

• Call out name and number of party when tables become available.

• Provide guests with the estimated waiting times.

• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

• Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.

• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.

• Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.

• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

• Execute any duty or task assigned by General Manager/Owner or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• No previous restaurant experience required.

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

• Must have exceptional grooming habits.

• Must be friendly and must enjoy interacting with Green Lantern guests.
