MUSC Community Physicians is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (PRN) to join our Urgent Care team in Elgin, South Carolina. As a Registered Nurse, you'll deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care while partnering with patients and families throughout their healthcare experience. Responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
• Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care that addresses physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and educational needs.
• Coordinate care and promote patient education to support positive health outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and healing environment for patients, families, and coworkers.
• Prioritize patient needs while applying sound clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Participate in professional development, shared governance, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Additional Job Description

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Licensure & Certifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained prior to completion of orientation). Some positions may require a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning.

For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force are needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force are required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. Ability to match or discriminate between colors. Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations. Ability to work rotating shifts. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to work in a latex safe environment. Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions. Ability to maintain good olfactory sensory function. Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.
