Emergency Veterinarian

ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital is looking for a Full Time Emergency Veterinarian to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in San Fernando Valley. As a premier 24/7 ER and specialty partner, ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital-San Fernando Valley is expanding and actively adding an ER DVM. Why This Role Is Unique Beyond a typical ER position, you’ll work side‑by‑side with board‑certified specialists in cardiology, surgery, neurology, orthopedics and internal medicine. This collaboration enables real‑time case management and the opportunity to practice at a higher level of medicine while stabilizing critical cases or managing complex emergencies. About You

What You’ll Do Provide emergency care for sick and injured patients while also managing hospitalized cases. Assess and diagnose patients, develop and oversee treatment plans, and partner closely with technicians to ensure high‑quality execution of care. Perform surgeries, deliver critical care, and maintain an exceptional standard of service for every patient who enters our emergency department. Your Experience & Skills Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required State Veterinary Board License – active and in good standing for the state of intended employment, obtained prior to start date Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligibility Experience in emergency medicine or completion of small animal rotating or emergency internships highly recommended Compensation Negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual pro‑sal full‑time range starting at $200k–$230k/year, with no negative accrual. Compensation is carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
