School Psychologist

Based in San Jose, CA, the School Psychologist reports to the Manager of Psych Services. The role is critical for meeting Child Find obligations and supporting the small number of elementary schools in the Rocketship network. Key Responsibilities Lead psycho‑educational and formal behavior assessments; write quality, compliant assessment reports. Attend IEP meetings; present assessment findings to the team. Assist in implementing assessment recommendations. Participate in the pre‑referral process and consult school teams on intervention supports. Work with parents to build knowledge of disability and inclusive support. Provide consultation to administrators, teachers, and parents regarding general and special educational programs. Coordinate with community agencies as needed. Maintain compliant practice and documentation. Develop and implement 504 plans where required. Provide additional consultation on social emotional and behavioral systems. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager. Requirements Valid California Pupil Personnel Services credential (or applicable state credential). Master’s degree in School Psychology. Nationally Certified School Psychologist credential (preferred). Bilingual Spanish (preferred). Experience in Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (highly preferred). Experience working with elementary‑age students (preferred). Experience with students with a range of disabilities (learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, autism, etc.) (highly preferred). Excellent written and oral communication skills. Commitment to inclusion model and mission to close achievement gap. Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environment; be flexible and adaptive. Strong record‑keeping and compliance skills. Valid California driver’s license; willingness to travel between sites. Compensation & Benefits Salary is competitive based on education and experience.
