Senior Supply Chain Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing supply chain processes, enhancing logistics efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong background in supply chain management, inventory control, and procurement, along with proficiency in various analytical tools and systems. Responsibilities Responsible for Purchasing Activities: Placing Purchase Orders (PO's), following up with suppliers on late orders, expediting as needed. Leading Request for Quote and Request for Bid activities. Responsible for Supplier Management activities Involved in and leading Manage inventory levels through effective inventory management practices and MRP systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance demand planning and production planning processes. Conduct root cause analysis to resolve supply chain issues and implement corrective actions. Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials. Prepare reports on supply chain analytics to inform decision-making at all levels of the organization. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in supply chain management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP ERP, Oracle EBS) and MRP processes. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies including Six Sigma and Lean principles. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively. Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
