Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct engaging and therapeutic individual, couples, and family therapy sessions that are tailored to clients' specific needs.

  • Design comprehensive treatment plans that align with clients' personal goals and objectives, incorporating evidence-based techniques.

  • Assess and identify clients' emotional and mental health challenges through initial evaluations and ongoing assessments.

  • Provide timely crisis intervention for clients in acute distress, ensuring their safety and emotional stability.

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate documentation of treatment progress.

  • Work collaboratively with other health professionals to create a holistic care plan that addresses all aspects of a client’s wellbeing.

  • Engage in continuous professional development by participating in training and workshops to stay updated on licensure requirements and best practices in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on couples and families who are dealing with various issues such as marital conflict, parenting challenges, and emotional distress. You will work with a diverse population, many of whom may be facing significant life transitions or mental health issues stemming from trauma and addiction. Supporting clients in their journey towards healthier communication patterns and emotional resilience will be a key aspect of your role.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.

  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for fostering trust and rapport with clients.

  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively with families and couples from various cultural backgrounds with sensitivity to diverse issues and challenges.

  • Experience in providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

  • Proficient understanding of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and their application in clinical settings.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Prior experience working in outpatient settings, particularly in the areas of addiction counseling or trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

  • The salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
