Maintenance Mechanic

Position / Title: Maintenance Mechanic Position Summary: Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and building requiring practical skill and knowledge. Be proficient in such trades as mechanical maintenance, electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry work. Responsibilities Perform maintenance skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs. Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors. Handle complex repairs with minimal supervision and train others as needed. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all equipment from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications. Maintain electrical, electronics, and mechanical systems. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company established expectations and corporate quality expectations. Assist with installation, testing, and validation of new equipment and facility development projects. Perform routine cleaning of facilities and grounds. Conduct and record periodic inspections of facilities and equipment as scheduled. Maintain maintenance documentation, maintenance history, and all other appropriate documentation for all projects and corporate equipment repairs. Perform other tasks as assigned. Requirements Hospital maintenance experience required (3+ years preferred). Hospital life safety experience required including regulatory documents. Experience with HVAC, building, equipment, and utility maintenance. Proficiency with power and hand tools. Experience with all building trades preferred (drywall repair, painting included). Electrical proficiency preferred. Must be able to speak, write, and understand English and be a self‑starter. High School Degree or equivalent. Demonstrated competency in skill area as indicated by verifiable training and/or experience. Must be 21 years old. (3) years related experience in a health care environment. Any federal or state required licenses and certifications. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, hand use, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, and hearing. Must be able to work in a standing position for 8 or more hours per day. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds as needed.
