UCSF Bayfront Operating Room (OR) Position

The UCSF Bayfront Operating Room (OR) consists of 14 surgical suites and 2 procedural rooms with a 23-hour surgical stay facility. Our primary focus is a multidisciplinary team-based approach and staffing, advanced technology, including integrated suites and robotic surgery. Services include, but are not limited to: Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck (OHNS), Urology, Gynecology, Plastics, Pain Service, MIS Spine, General, OMFS, and Robotics. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of recent RN clinical experience in an adult operation room in an out-patient setting.
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Possession of the legal requirements to practice as a Registered Nurse as determined by the California Board of Registered Nursing and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
• Proficiency ability to independently circulate all case types within at least three of the following services: Ophthalmology/Cornea/Retina, GYN/Robotic, GU/Robotic, General Surgery/Robotic, OHNS/Airway, MIS SPINE.

Preferred Qualification:

• BSN
• CNOR
• Proficient in Scrubbing role in at least 2 of the services listed above.
• ACLS;
• RN sedation

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
• Current healthcare provider CPR BLS or ACLS certification
