LPN Preschool 1 to 1 - 12 Month School Position!

Job Title

Activities include but are not limited to the following: Ensure that documentation is accurate, contemporaneous, and effectively communicates all information required to be regulatory compliant. Provide thorough documentation that can be clearly understood by a reader. The ability to read and write is critical to this position given the documentation which must be completed. Promote and oversee the safety and well-being of the children through use of written, verbal procedures, safety equipment and awareness of any potential dangers. Attend to personal, self-care and other program needs that the children cannot independently accomplish. Keep the nursing and administrative team advised of medical and dietary concerns. Provide support and consultation and initiate peer support among program participants. Promote student input in the development of program activities. Oversee the safety and well-being of the children. Oversee and upkeep the maintenance of equipment and supplies. Participate in activities as part of the treatment team that may include meetings, trainings, and committees. Maintain documentation as required. Establish a work environment that creates positive communication between supervisors and employees and assimilates new employees to the Agency's culture, values and mission. Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse and current NYS Registration Certificate. One-Step TB test required prior to first day of employment Ability to lift and/or assist children in your care and the ability to meet the physical requirements of the specific job. Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel). This position has regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities) or OCFS (Office of Children and Family Services). Must have a valid NYS Driver's License Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
