Job Summary Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500students across its graduate and undergraduate programs .Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, theUniversity is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas ofAllentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from thePhiladelphia metropolitan area. The Department of Art & Design in the College of Visual & Performing Arts invites applications for part-time adjunctpositions in a faculty adjunct pool in Animated Arts and relatedfields. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement,performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effectiveteaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities;continuing scholarly growth; and service. Course load will betaught primarily in-person. If online teaching is offered,successful completion of the Teaching Online Certification Courseoffered through Kutztown University required. Courses requiring coverage include (but are not limited to):undergraduate courses in 3D Modeling, 2D Digital Animation, 3DAnimation, Visual Development (Storyboarding/CharacterDesign/Concept Art), and related courses. Minimum Qualifications Requirements: A MA or MFA degree in Animated Arts or a relatedarea A strong professional portfolio of personal and studentartwork. Successful interview and demonstration of proficiency and abilityto teach related software required. Teaching experience of at least one year or equivalent professionalexperience in the animation field is required. Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience of at least one year or job experience in thegiven field.
