Senior Project ManagerWe are searching for a Senior Project Manager — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will lead and be responsible for projects which are complex, multi-disciplinary and/or enterprise-wide; and to provide expertise to short and long-term assignments internal and external to the designated areas of responsibilities. Key functions of this role include team development, monitoring, and guidance; work process analysis and improvement, data analysis and creative problem solving, and facilitation of various strategic initiatives.Think you've got what it takes?Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesManages multiple complex projects. Manages projects delegated by leadership including, but not limited to, business planning and development, strategic planning, financial analysis, development of affiliations and contracts, medical staffing, facilities planning and construction, and operations planning and development. Coordinates resources needed for completion of assigned projects. Includes managing and coordinating data, information and/or personnel. Manages the completion of projects/assessments. Monitors progress against plan and budget. When necessary, adjusts plan with approval of project sponsors. Maintains regular communication with project stakeholders regarding progress of project/assessment. Analyzes issues and data related to projects and presents findings to leadership for effective decision-making. Presents recommendations orally and in writing in a clear, concise format. Follow-up during and after assignments to evaluate the effectiveness of the project. Serves as lead and point-person for long-term projects as requested.Performs a variety of duties to support areas of responsibilities. Coordinates team goal preparation and writing; coordinates the tracking of progress and reports updates to executive leadership quarterly. Performs work assignments as needed to ensure continuity of services, e.g., provide coverage in a vacancy or similar situation. Suggests and initiates improvements to team processes, when possible, to improve efficiency, and communication between work teams. Participates in team meetings and decisions.Provides services internal and external requiring a high level of project management and operations expertise. Actively participates in task forces and director-level committees; represents leadership or any of their areas of responsibility on multidisciplinary teams. Consults with and provides guidance to senior leaders on issues that cross multiple departments within areas of responsibility; involves others within these areas as needed. Participates in strategic planning and the development and refinement of joint initiatives between TCH and various other healthcare related institutions as needed.Skills & RequirementsBachelor's degree required; with a preferred degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field.A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field may substitute for two years of relevant work experience.5 years of relevant work experience, including two (2) years of experience managing medium to large-sized projects.Founded in 1996, Texas Children's Health Plan is the nation's first health maintenance organization (HMO) created just for children.
