Medical Assistant Opportunity

Toledo Clinic's Internal Medicine Office, located at 3401 Glendale Ave Toledo OH, is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA or the ability to obtain credential within 60 days of hire) to provide both clinical and administrative support.

The hours are Mon/Tues/Thurs (9:00-5:30), and Wed (9:00-2:30).

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary: Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
• Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
• Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
• Updating insurance information.
• Answering general patient questions.
• Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
• Collecting co-pays.
• Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets.
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
• Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• HS diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required.
• Computer skills helpful.
• Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Preferred:

• Previous clerical experience in a medical office
• Medical related coursework
