Position Overview

Medical Oncologist

Our organization is currently in search of a skilled Medical Oncologist to enhance our faculty in Cancer Medicine at the Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center South Campus, situated within the Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, Florida.

We are proud to offer an exceptional standard of oncology services in Northeast Florida, combining dedicated patient care with an academic-focused approach. Our organization is recognized as the region's leading healthcare provider and is one of only seven health systems in the United States selected to implement the multidisciplinary and effective care model of MD Anderson Cancer Center, serving as the Southeast hub for the MD Anderson Cancer Network®.

Recently, we inaugurated a cutting-edge, 330,000 square foot facility designed for comprehensive oncology care. In addition to our downtown Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus, we have two other regional locations (Baptist Medical Center South and Baptist Medical Center Clay). All facilities are fully integrated and are rapidly expanding their multidisciplinary cancer care services, featuring specialized teams in breast surgical oncology, various surgical specialties, radiation oncology, genetics, and medical oncology.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold board eligibility or certification in Oncology (or Hematology/Oncology) with a proven track record in clinical and academic settings.
Exhibit a strong commitment to patient-centered, multidisciplinary cancer care and possess the clinical expertise to manage patients with hematological and oncological conditions.
Actively support the clinical, research, and educational objectives of our program.
Establish and maintain a vibrant clinical practice.

We highly encourage sub-specialization in specific malignancies and engagement in clinical research, along with other activities that align with the mission of our cancer center.

Qualified applicants may be considered for an adjunct academic position at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, based on their qualifications.
