Medical Office Manager: Lead Front & Back Office

Job Overview – Medical Office Manager Compensation: $60,000 – $66,000/year Location:Suffolk County, NY Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Medical Office Manager in Suffolk County, NY for our client, supporting office operations, staff management, and patient services within a healthcare practice. In this role, you will oversee daily workflows, manage staff performance, and ensure efficient front and back-office operations. You will utilize EMR systems such as NextGen and patient engagement platforms to support operational accuracy and deliver a high-quality patient experience. Responsibilities as the Medical Office Manager: Office Operations: Oversee daily administrative and clinical office functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff while addressing performance and staffing needs. Patient Experience: Manage patient inquiries and front desk operations to maintain high service standards. Scheduling Oversight: Review and manage physician and staff schedules to ensure efficient workflow and appointment coordination. Billing & Compliance: Support billing processes, coding accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards. Qualifications for the Medical Office Manager: Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred. Experience: 1+ years of medical office management or healthcare administrative experience is required. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare operations, patient scheduling, billing workflows, and compliance standards is required. Technical Skills: Experience with EMR systems such as NextGen and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
