Urologist

The Department of Surgery of District Medical Group (DMG) has an immediate practice opportunity for a Urologist. The Department staffs Valleywise Health, a community hospital with a State and American College of Surgeons designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in the metropolitan Phoenix area, with State‑of‑the‑art equipment, including endoscopic equipment, a urodynamic lab and a da Vinci surgical robotic system.

The successful candidate will be appointed to the Department of Surgery with responsibilities related to serving as a faculty member to its sponsored graduate medical education programs. The candidate will assist in developing the clinical service line, providing inpatient and outpatient general urology services in elective and emergent care settings, shared call coverage, and should be comfortable with a teamwork approach for patient management. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in collaborative research activities and, most importantly, develop and grow our robotics program for urology patients.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited urology residency program
• Board certified and/or board eligible
• Eligible for an unrestricted Arizona Medical license
• Will consider J1 Visa applicants
• Preference for fellowship trained or strong experience in robotic assisted surgery
