Plastic Express owns and operates roughly 250 trucks, with approximately 250 trailers performing full bulk truck distribution business. Job Summary The Export Coordinator is responsible for the efficient delivery logistics through data management. Perform day to day processing and complete communication with the customer, ensuring that customer accounts are maintained in an accurate and up-to-date manner. Responsibilities Enter packaging and receipt information in Plastic Express and / or Customer system(s) Track shipments and communicate with clients about the package's progress. Coordinate shipping with clients for shipping and deliveries. Deal with quotes from prospective shippers, or tender internally in the event Plastic Express Drayage can accommodate Assist with claims with management and customers if any shipment problems happen to occur. Assist with completion of export documentation. Assist with compiling carrier and route assignment Assist with computing fees for each shipment. Assist with tracking of product flow from receipt / packaging through shipment to port or end customer Use automated systems to identify shipments, collect data, and register deliveries. Required Education and Experience High School diploma Three years of customer service experience Preferred Education and Experience Some advanced education or working toward a degree SAP or other ERP system experience / certification(s). SAP preferred. Accellos Highjump experience / certification(s) given consideration Physical Demands Must be able to work long hours, weekends and holidays when needed. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The job may require long periods of standing while teaching a class. From time-to-time, employee may need to leave a climate controlled space, and enter a warehouse environment to interface with employees / management. Employee must possess vision abilities required by this job function to include close visual confirmation of finely printed documents. Ability to read and speak in English required. Ability to read and speak in Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, or Japanese will be given consideration. Licenses/Certificates N/A Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills. Detailed oriented with a tenacious focus on results. Good interpersonal skills. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook: Intermediate; PowerPoint: Basic). Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct reports. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and normal hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Travel Up to 15% Travel is expected for this position.
