CNC Machinist

(Waggaman, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor computer numerical control (CNC) machinery in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and ensuring production quality while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. Essential Duties Operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, and machining centers to produce precision parts Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders Load raw materials and parts into machines and monitor machine performance during operation Perform machine setup adjustments, tooling changes, and offset corrections as needed Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices Conduct test runs to ensure machine settings meet specifications Maintain production records and document completed work orders Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and notify maintenance when repairs are needed Ensure compliance with company safety standards and quality procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements/Skills High school diploma or GED preferred Previous CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection tools Basic math and computer skills Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Knowledge of machine safety practices and PPE requirements Ability to work overtime or shifts as required Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts Frequently lift, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday Manual dexterity to operate machinery and measuring equipment Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Equal Opportunity Statement Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
