Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care – Day Shift – Relocation Candidates Welcome

We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week contract assignment at a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Ennis, Texas.

The SLP will provide speech and language therapy services to residents, helping improve communication, swallowing function, and overall quality of life based on individual assessments and treatment goals. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering patient-centered care in a long-term care environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Assess residents' speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs as applicable.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.

• Provide appropriate speech-language therapy interventions to support functional improvement.

• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and recommended strategies.

• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress according to facility standards.

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.

• Follow professional practice standards and applicable state requirements.

Requirements

• Active Speech-Language Pathology license valid for practice in Texas.

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience .

• Ability to provide therapy services in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
