Position: Early Childhood Educator
Location: Warren-Walker School Early Learning Center, 2905 Cadiz St, San Diego, CA 92110
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Compensation: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
Create a Positive Learning Environment: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
and activities that encourage cognitive, emotional, and social growth for children ranging from infants
to preschool age.

Foster Growth & Development: Guide children through engaging experiences that promote
problem-solving, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills.
●
Ensure a Safe and Caring Environment: Oversee daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and
hygiene, while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom.
●
Build Strong Relationships: Establish meaningful communication with parents, colleagues, and
administrators to foster a supportive, collaborative community.
●
Support Colleagues Across Classrooms: Assist in different classrooms as needed, including
covering for breaks and stepping in to support teaching activities in various age groups.
●
Promote Inclusivity & Diversity: Cultivate an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates
diversity and supports the unique developmental needs of each child.
●
Adhere to Regulations & Best Practices: Knowledge of and ability to follow Community Care
Licensing regulations Title 22 and maintain high standards of early childhood education through
emergent curriculums to ensure the well-being, safety and development of all children.

External Job Qualifications
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or completion of 12 ECE core units,
specifically 3 units of Infant and Toddler Development and Care.

● Experience: 1 year of teaching/childcare experience in a licensed childcare center.
Certifications: Child Development Associate Certification and clearances and forms completed and
on file.
● Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, organized classroom management
techniques, patience and passion for early learning, and an ability to work, and thrive, in a team
environment. 
● Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, perform motor skill activities such as
standing, bending, kneeling, and work indoors and outdoors for extended periods. Ability to Actively
Supervise children is a must.
