The role involves supervising the operation of the Community Education Programs (except childcare). These programs include evening & daytime enrichment and academic activities for all ages (sports, music lessons, trips, shows, online classes). Reports to: Director of Community Education. Performance Responsibilities Assist in planning & coordinating all operational facets of the CommEd programs (excluding childcare). Perform administrative duties to support the Director & Assistant Director. Coordinate with supervisors to ensure efficient operation and conduct routine site visits. Assist with interviewing, hiring, and processing program staff. Train staff; maintain required documents for employees & vendors. Manage software for all Community Education Programs. Create online registration and meet enrollment deadlines. Provide reports to each site as needed. Work flexible schedule as needed; attend staff meetings and manage issues. Be on-call for emergencies after normal hours. Implement advertisement & marketing strategies to meet enrollment goals. Maintain social media & website. Monitor & keep program budgets on track. Monitor supply & equipment inventory; coordinate ordering & distribution. Process registration forms & related paperwork. Coordinate use of spaces for activities. Create & implement online course evaluations for instructors. Compile data for review by the Director. Act as directed in the absence of Director/Assistant Director within policy. Research new ideas & programs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Physical & Environmental Standards Fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions. Travel by personal automobile to program sites. Occasional supervision of various buildings, parks, and facilities. Terms of Employment Full-time, full-year position with benefits as outlined for Community Education Exempt Personnel. Salary Range $53,000 - $56,500 annually. Evaluation Annual performance evaluation in writing by the Director of Community Education, in accordance with policy. Job Requirements Qualifications Thorough knowledge of a specialized field of education involving administrative techniques. Proficient in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Google Drive). Ability to learn various programs. Program advertisement and/or marketing experience. Bachelor’s degree and/or 3-plus years of experience managing community programs. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, fluid environment. Strong verbal & written communication skills. Ability to interact positively with students, parents, staff & public. Other qualifications as considered appropriate.
