Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a hands‑on Engineering Team Lead to oversee sustaining engineering efforts across complex mechanical systems. This individual will lead a team focused on resolving field and production issues, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the performance, reliability, and life cycle success of existing products. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of sustaining engineers and technical staff Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for field and manufacturing issues Partner cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, and service teams Manage engineering change processes and product life cycle documentation Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting mechanical systems (combustion, refrigeration, etc.) Support cost reduction initiatives, supplier changes, and component obsolescence Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal policies Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across sustaining activities Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related) 5+ years experience in technical engineering / sustaining / product support roles Strong background working with complex electro‑mechanical systems in manufacturing environments Experience with combustion systems, chillers, or similar mechanical systems Proven ability in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and hands‑on problem solving Leadership experience or readiness to step into a team lead / people management role Proficiency with CAD tools and engineering documentation systems Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Engineering Background in HVAC, industrial equipment, or energy systems Experience with controls systems (PLC, embedded systems) Familiarity with standards such as UL, ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI #J-18808-Ljbffr DSJ Global
