Job Title: Operating Room / PACU Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room / Circulate, Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU), Perioperative Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4 days, 10 hours per day Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Strong Pre, PACU, and Phase II skills Description: Recruiting for an RN to start ASAP. Must have strong Pre, PACU, and Phase II skills. Schedule consists of 4 ten-hour shifts with a variable schedule and shared on-call rotation. Nursing care duties include floating to the entire Outpatient Services area. This includes day surgery, endoscopy lab, post-anesthesia care unit, and pre-operative clinic. Also involves hospital needs for conscious sedation for special procedures. Utilize skills in nursing assessment, including perioperative education and care. Recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications. Position urgency is normal.
