Svix is hiring a Rust Backend Engineer to help build scalable developer infrastructure focused on reliable server-to-server communication and webhook delivery. The engineering team is focused on high-performance backend systems, infrastructure reliability, developer experience, and message delivery at scale. This role involves building production-grade Rust services, improving platform stability, supporting high availability systems, and delivering new backend capabilities for developers. Candidates with experience in Rust, backend infrastructure, distributed systems, and scalable service development will find strong alignment with this opportunity. Helping build a web3 engineering team with strong infrastructure and backend expertise. Responsibilities Deploy high-quality production code in a fast-paced engineering environment. Help scale the platform while maintaining stability, reliability, and high availability. Design and build new backend features that improve the customer developer experience. Contribute to performant message delivery systems operating at scale. Solve backend engineering challenges involving infrastructure performance and scalability. Collaborate closely with the engineering team to deliver reliable production services. Supporting teams focused on blockchain infrastructure roles and large-scale backend systems. Requirements Experience building production services using Rust. Strong backend engineering and software development skills. Passion for building high-quality software and solving technical challenges. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Strong focus on delivering a high-quality developer experience. Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving engineering environment. Nice to Have Experience operating services in high-scale environments. Experience supporting highly available production infrastructure. Open-source software contributions or OSS development experience. Diverse technical background across infrastructure and backend systems. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 USD annually (San Francisco-based range). Equity: Generous equity package.
