Shop Mechanic

Reports To: Shop Manager/ Mountain Operations Manager Location: Swain Resort – Swain, NY Status: Full Time Pay Rate Range: $17.00 – $21.00 Position Summary The Shop Mechanic at Swain Resort is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the resort’s vehicles,lifts and other equipment at the ski area.. Shop Mechanics play a key role in ensuring guest safety, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors on the mountain. Initial Duties & Responsibilities Basic Mechanic Skills (trucks, tractors, snow groomers) Maintain equipment so the area runs smoothly Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and surrounding areas. Uphold all resort safety standards and policies at all times. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and during peak resort periods in season Summer hours will be a normal 8-4 days. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Able to work on diesel and gas engines Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including cold, snow, and wind. Strong communication and customer service skills. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods. #J-18808-Ljbffr
