About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development with a focus on biopharma. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing top-tier biopharma relationships and driving new business across a range of biotech accounts involved in Phase 1-3 oncology trials. This role is pivotal in the commercial leadership of the company, with a full sales-cycle, individual-contributor approach to start. The VP will be expected to own the entire sales process, from prospecting to contract close, and to build the necessary infrastructure to support the company's sales organization. Key responsibilities include representing the company at industry conferences, deepening executive relationships, and translating complex product capabilities into commercial narratives. Applicants for the VP of Business Development role at the company should have a proven track record in selling data-driven or precision medicine products within the biopharma oncology clinical development space. Experience as a first or early BD lead at a life sciences tools company is essential, as is deep fluency in oncology clinical development. The role requires the ability to work independently, executive presence in interactions with senior counterparts, and comfort with consultative selling. The ideal candidate will also have an existing network in oncology clinical development, working fluency in relevant scientific and technical areas, and experience in scaling a business development team. The position is based in the US or Canada and offers the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing the field of oncology trials.
