Surgical Podiatrist OpportunityBalance Health is the largest majority podiatrist owned practice in the country and the nation's premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. We are looking for a Surgical Podiatrist to serve our San Antonio community at one of several clinics, with plans for continued growth and expansion in the region. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, comfortable performing surgery as well as doing routine care, with a phenomenal bedside manner who treats our patients with exceptional care.Essential Functions:Examine patients' legs and feet to diagnose diseasesTreat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and anklesPerform surgical procedures as necessary along with wound care management as neededDiagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test resultsPrescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgeryAdvise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problemsProvide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care teamProvide health promotion and preventive medicineAppropriately maintains medical records on assigned patientsCompensation / Benefits:Competitive physician salary program with a base ($150,000 - $600,000) + percentage of net collections.Benefit eligibility for FT employees working 30+ hours weekly begins first of the month following 30 days of employment.Eligibility to participate in our 401(k) program begins first of the month following 60 days of employment.Monthly Education WebinarsAnnual in-person "Balance Summit" - our two-day CME EventRequirementsMinimum of three (3) years professional experience preferredCurrent License as a Podiatrist in the State of Texas.Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of PodiatryBoard certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle SurgeryAbility to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progressKnowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical careKnowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformitiesAbility to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutionsExcellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populationsPC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and EMR databaseAbility to provide legal proof of eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.Ability to successfully pass an in-depth background investigation
